PHILOSOPHY "Study
to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
2 Timothy 2:15
White Rock Christian Academy has a vital part in developing
the learning experiences and the Christian growth of each
student who enters the doors of this institution. We believe
that the parents have the ultimate responsibility in training
their children to be Godly men and women and responsible citizens
of His world. We are not here to relieve the parents of their
responsibility but rather to fulfill the mandate which they
give us to enrich the learning of their children in a Godly
environment, giving us the joint responsibility to fulfill
2 Timothy 2:15 in their children's lives.
Our major objective as a church school is to introduce students
to Jesus Christ and His teachings, through a Biblical framework
for viewing God’s world and discerning truth in order that
they may grow in their commitment to Christ. We recognize
that each student is unique in their gifting and their calling,
and that through their educational experience at White Rock
Christian Academy they will pursue their maximum potential
and be able to fully serve God and their community.
This involves the following commitment on behalf of the school:
To ensure that each child comes to a saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ, achieves a higher level of Christian maturity, attains
a deeper commitment to God, and becomes an effective witness
for the Lord.
To help each child learn how to live to honour the Lord by
meeting the daily school responsibilities with which God has
entrusted him.
To assist each child in seeking his purpose for life's service
and necessary preparation for eternity through emphasis on
the absolute authority of the Word of God and the sovereignty
of His nature.
To emphasize the individuality of each child and assist him
to properly respond to himself and to others, helping him
develop his self confidence, academic abilities, analysis
and communication skills, creativity, and individual God-given
talents.
To promote self-discipline by training students to be relevant,
consistent, appreciative, responsible and thorough in attitude,
character and actions.
To be an extension of the home working together with the parents
in establishing and reinforcing Christian principles in the
lives of the children.
By striving to fulfill these goals, our ultimate desire for
each child is summed up in 2 Timothy 3:14 NIV "But as
for you, continue in what you have learned and have become
convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned
it…"
